'Download' button disappeared after recent update?

Hello folks,

Since the most recent update of the software on my Huawei Mate 10 Pro, I cannot find the 'download' button anymore that directs me to the list of downloads!

In the past I had added this to my 'Top Apps' folder and it has gone from there, I don't seem to find it anywhere anymore!

Please tell me how I can find my downloads again!
With biggest thanks from the bottom of my heart!

AnneMarie

You mean in the stock browser?

It's here, tap on the three dots bottom-right in the browser app.

Hi, I am not sure I understand... What is the browser app?
In the past it was an app-button 'downloads' which I added to my folder Top Apps.
But it has disappeared from there since the last software update and i don't find it anywhere anymore...

Also whatever browser app is the default on a Huawei (not Chrome or Edge etc..?) your Downloads from the Web may appear as Mikedt described.

I cannot seem to find anything like he posted there... Don't find any 'downloads' or 'files' app anywhere... :-(

Hi @amazijn, have you tried going down the 'Settings' route to gain access to your downloads?

Every device I have had provides that function, even though it's four steps it is always available. It is on both my HTC 10 and Pixel 3a and I'm assuming it will be the same or similar on your Mate 10. It may be slightly different as manufacturers don't necessarily use the same terminology.

Go to 'Settings - Storage - Files - Downloads' and you should find your downloaded files.

HI,
I checked everything in the settings, but still no downloads to find ...
It looks as if they have disappeared completely!
I just don't get it!

I you can post some screenshots we can see what we're missing.

Where are you downloading from. Through a browser / website or an app.
Are they files, docs or photos. Do you have some cloud accounts. An SD Card?

We can look through a Huawei online but apart from Mikedt owners are scarce on the ground here atm.

As a matter of interest I take it you still have Google Services on the 10 unless you live where they were not available.

You should have a Storage structure as Tommo posted in some form.

The problem seems solved!
In the Google folder all of a sudden has appeared a new button 'files' (see picture), when I click on that I find under 'categories' my downloads back!

Hopefully they are not going to change things too much anymore now...

Thank you all for helping out!
