Download movies?

I've heard Blockbuster works to download movies (for pay) but I'm not sure how it does it. My friend needs to leave the country and wants to download movies to her phone's SD card and watch them on the plane. Yes, I told her all about ripping DVDs but she's not into that or wanting to know how... I think she wants something similar to iTunes where you can buy/download video onto your device. Any thoughts?

Blockbuster app is the only app I know of to buy/rent movies on the phone. Otherwise she will have to rip/convert her own movies.

Speaking of ripping DVDs for use on an Android device, any recommendations from anyone on the best product to do so? I want to throw some stuff on my phone that I have on DVD too. Thanks!
