Help Download Speeds

I just purchased an OTT M8 box and I'm having a peculiar issue with download speeds. I have 25 Mbps Internet service and regularly test 25-27with my ethernet connection on Speedtest.net on my laptop. When I test the ethernet speed on the M8 with the Speedtest app, I rarely can break 15-16 Mbps.

But here's the peculiar thing--when I switch to wireless, the M8 gets 25-27. I tried another identical box from the supplier and it does exactly the same thing.

Anybody else experience this?

Search the Play store for an app called 'Bionic TCP', Install it, open it and select the top option (large buffer or something) then minimize it (leave it running in the background) then do a speed test.
Hey presto, faster ethernet speeds!

Seems to work fantastically well ! Now up to 26-27 Mbps.

Any explanation as to why this works?

I really have got NO clue! I was having problems with slow speeds, installed that then everything was fine. Just a shame you have to mess about starting it every time you turn your device on.
