Downloaded apps block?

I'm just wondering as I haven't actually done it before but is it true if you download payed apps for free on sites such as 4shared then your phone will block their use? Also if the app has internet access does that mean they could track you down?

Apps that are blocked in the market are generally not allowed by a carrier or they are not suitable for a particular model phone. Bypassing the market to get paid apps for free is piracy as well as theft.

We do not allow the discussion of pirating apps for those exact reasons.
