Downloaded Go SMS app for text messages now my phone sends duplicate texts?

I wish I had an answer for you, but I too experienced the same problem ( so have numerous friends of mine)
I do not believe it is the fault of GoSMS, as I and others, have experienced this with the stock messenger and using Handscent.
I also have had a huge problems with my texts going to the wrong recipients, even if it was a reply to a threaded message.
Honestly, I blame Verizon's network somehow...:banghead:I was in the cellphone sales industry (selling multiple carriers ), and these problems only seem to be on Verizon.
:dontknow:If anyone else has any suggestions on either problem, I would love to hear them.

You have to turn off notifications from your stock text app.
open up your stock text messaging app,
go to settings, and uncheck "notifications"

i tend to believe your problem goes deeper than turning off notifications. your problems tend to be out going. notifications tend to be incoming. try going into go sms settings open important tips and check stock sms uninstalled. i hope this helps you.

failure to turn off notifications will cause multiple received, but not sent.
I actually uninstalled the stock message app, and still have similar problems.

haha you evidently haven't had sprints cheap pay as you go network (aka Virgin Mobile)
Thats why I decided to jump from 25$ with unlimited texts and 3g to 90$ for 4gb of 4g.. their network was the worst.
But to get to the problem at hand, I am not too familiar with Verizon yet, but would you be able to rule out the network causing problems by contacting them? My last carrier (VM) was able to tell me if there were problems with the network when I had suspicions that it could be what was causing the problem.
If its not the network and this problem occurs on the stock messaging app perhaps it could be a bug in the os version, and you could contact Motorola (although we all know how lovely their service can be) and report the problem you are having.

after rooting, I installed System app Remover. it allows you to back up, i=remove, and re-install any app. it works flawlessly, I've used it on at least 5 different androids with no problem.

Excuse me Guys I am butting in. But didn't know how to get help or post expect to do it this way... Sorry don't know much at all about these sites how to post or much about Android phones. But I have been searching for help with an issue on my phone I have duplicate multiple apps all of a sudden on my phone. Like 2 face books/ Messenger sms/ It's also coming up that I have two phone lines but only have 1. MY text messages I'm receiving two text messages from the at least 4 of the same phone number. what's going on how can I get help.
