Help Downloading...Do Not Turn Off Target!!

Could not do normal boot.
ODIN MODE

PRODUCT NAME: SCH-1535
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom

QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
BOOTLOADER RP SWREV: 2

(Samsung Galaxy S III - United States)
Hi all,
I was browsing FB when suddenly my phone went dark, vibrated twice, then booted to ODIN mode. I pulled battery, tried standard power-on but it only boots to ODIN mode. I tried power+down+up and power+menu+down a couple times with no change. Now I can't even get it to power-on. BTW, ever since the KitKat update, it's been acting screwy, most notably the camera fails often (requiring reboot) and the stock keyboard is super laggy when editing text I already entered.
Help!

What do you mean you can not get it to power on? Are you still under warranty?

Can you get into recovery? (Vol Up+Home+Power) If you can try to clear cache in recovery.

If you still get taken to the Download screen, take the battery out, then remove your SIM card and SD card (if present). Reinsert the battery then try turning the phone on normally. If the phone boots normally, let it finish, then power it off fully. Remove the battery, reinsert the SIM card and SD card, replace the battery and see if the phone boots normally.

If none of this works take it to your local carrier store, if pre-paid call your provider.

It won't power on at all, be it normally (holding down the power button), into Recovery (Vol Up+Home+Power) or into ODIN (Vol Down+Home+Power). I plugged it in and tried (both with and without the battery) and it still won't power on.

Are you still under warranty?
No, it's 2.5 years old.

Even though I couldn't get into ODIN mode, I tried this anyway; didn't work.
