downloading movies on my htc- help me im insanely stupid!!

Please could someone help, im wanting to download an app or something on my HTC desire to allow me to download movies is this possible??? I have tried to look through threads to see how this is possible but I have to admit I dont understand what people are talking about as Im new to this technology. I did read somewhere abt a handlebar and have no idea what that is, SO WHAT I NEED IS THE IDIOTS GUIDE TO DOWNLOADING FILMS OR AN APP THAT CAN DO IT FOR ME!!!!! Please help and if possible keep it simple and describe each step like im an idiot (as I am) Thank you soooooo much in advance x

Help me out, what are you trying to do? Download movies directly to your phone or transferring movies you've downloaded from your computer to your phone. Those are two COMPLETELY different animals. HAHA!
