Downloading music to SGP 5

Ok guys, I've ditched my iPod and bought my first Android.

After downloading a few Apps I'm ready to put some music on it. I've transferred all my iTunes library to Google Music (oops, Google PLAY) but I dont have the songs on my laptop. I see the "download" button in Music manager but I dont want to download everything, just selected Genres or albums.
How do I do this?

Update: i'm downloading Kies 2.0. to sync all my info, photos, etc. I might even answer my own question but please reply with any experiences or tricks.

Well? Here I am after about 6 hours. I decided to download all my music from Google Play (I previously uploaded a few months ago). Still downloading and it looks like its stalled?

I installed Kies but after reading a few posts against it I feel the same way. Double Twist didnt seem to work?

Is there another way? All I want is to be able to sync my Outlook Contacts & Calender and music from iTunes that I will slowly move away from.

ISyncher does a great job of syncing iTunes to Android and is music player agnostic-- it doesn't matter what music player you use. I use Power AMP.

Well there's probably a few ways to do this.
I plugged a micro memory card into a reader in my pc and copied all my mp3's to it. And some movies. Then i plugged the card into my 5.0 player. It's not automatic but it works.
i had horrible luck with kies and uninstalled it.
As far as outlook contacts and calendar use companion link. It works great.
You didn't mention printing, thats a pretty big pita. Again you will need third party software.
I've learned to go without.
The big incompatibility problem, as I see it, is Google and MS don't play nice together.

it's just easier to drag/dropped. At least for me it is, as I have them organized in folders by genre.
