Downloading music

Hi, if I download music from a official site like iTunes or Amazon on my mobile phone, when downloading the songs I have purchased do I need to close all my apps whilst the download takes place, for example... Facebook, or any other app open...or do the apps open make no difference to the downloading music, ie.
download speed or any interruptions to the download.. Many thanks
