Downloading Podcasts

Hi - Having had my phone for all of three days I suspect this is a stupid question but here I go...

I regularly download Podcasts which I then play as MP3's on my current HTC TYTN2. Rather than download to the laptop then transfer to the new Desire I would rather download directly to the Desire BUT when I go to the Podcast I want - on the BBC site, the instructions of 'Right Click and Save as Target' don;t apply. If I click that instead it simply plays the Podcast - which I dont want.
What I really want is to be able to download the Podcast/Mp3 directly to my phone SD card - is there an app which would help or am I forced to download via the laptop?

i use Google Listen on my G1. I enjoy it and its easy to use.

I'm also a google Listen user, big fan of it, I used to use dogcatcher, out was ok but I like listen better.

You can subscribe and sync via doubleTwist on your PC-
Sync Android, PSP, BlackBerry, Pre: doubleTwist with Amazon MP3
Works just like iTunes except that you can use it with any device

Although you now have a solution, to answer your original question, a long press on the link should provide you with a right click like menu where you can save among other things.

I am even greener than RoyC - I have yet to purchase my Android .

I am a podcast addict, and currently listen to them on an iPod. It looks like there are podcatchers that will work for the android, but one question that I have is whether or not you can configure the podcatcher to only download the podcasts when there is a WiFi link available, rather than using the broadband connection.

Listen will only play podcasts it has downloaded, it's not a general purpose media player.

Just transfer them to a folder, music for example, and use the built in music player.

Man! I wish Listen had a widget like HTC's stock media player!
