Downloading tv/films to watch offline

vls1976

Lurker
New to all this and tearing my hair out. One of the reasons I brought my tab was to download some cartoons and kids films to watch offline when we go on holiday in a few weeks.

I know I can't use lovefilm or netflix, apparently I also cannot use iplayer or sky go extra on the galaxy tab. So feel a bit stuck.

I know that I can use the googleplay store but there seems to be no choice in kids tv shows and it is very expensive to buy films.

Is there any where that does a good selection of tv shows that i can watch offline. And also, if i do this will it work - if I turn my wifi off can I still click onto the apps?

I use DroidTv to download television shows and watch them offline. It's the only offline service provider I know. I don't know how much children's content they have. If I want to watch a movie offline, I put mp4's of the movie on my tablet. They are my legally owned movies I have converted from DVD to mp4.

I have used a program to convert my dvds to play on my note 10.1 but they are pixelating quite badly in the fast moving parts...is this common or is there something im doing wrong? Is there any settings that I need to know... thanks

I use vlc for tablet (beta, but so far working fine), and I can watch ANY video (or listen to any music ) format.
You can get it for free from videolan

I use Fab DVD HD Decrypter . It has multiple functions & I use the DVD Ripper to rip my DVD to mp4. I just use their generic mp4 aac profile without any adjustments. I like the older version 8 as it seems to handle the audio sync better than their newer version. I've had no trouble with pixelation using BS Player Free. It could be the player you're using. I use BS Player most of the time with MX Player as an alternative for some videos.
