Dpad for soft keyboard

I really have a difficult time positioning the cursor to edit text and have been looking for a soft version of the Dpad so I can move the cursor around. Has anyone see such an item? I've searched and searched with no luck.

I don't use the slideout physical keyboard.

Smart Keyboard PRO has a dpad. Smart Keyboard though does cost $2.22 though. It is well worth it.
