My galaxy s6 loses battery life (my s5 did too) when searching for signal way faster than it should. When I arrive at work with 100% battery, I have to charge my phone (it gets below 15%) before the 8 hour work day is over with slight to moderate use. My entire office complains about service, but only the android users complain about battery drain issues. I prefer android in almost every scenario, but not one single iphone user complains about the weak signal draining their battery. A verizon guy tried to explain it to me, but he was BSing and really had no idea. Is there anyone that knows an actually technical reason behind this, or even better- a way to fix this?!
This also happens at my parents' house because they have a techshield in their roof (lowers cooling costs but blocks cell signal), but my iphone wielding sister never has issues with battery drain when she's visiting.
Thanks!
