draining battery

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3. It will be 2 yrs in August that I have had the phone. T Mobile is my carrier. For about the last month my battery has been draining. I bought a new battery and that is not the problem. After charging the new battery I was able to use it for 2 days without charging it. I put it on the charger last night and this morning as soon as I took it off the charger it lost half of it's charge and within 20 minutes it was dead. Could you tell me what is draining my battery and how can I fix this. Thanks DEB R A

Is the phone showing fully charged before you unplug charger? If not, fault could be with charger or cable.

Try going into your Settings >> More >> Battery and see if anything out of sorts stands out. If you tap on the graph it should expand, if you tap on the listed apps/processes most will show more details.

yes it is showing a full charge

As @svim suggested,go to settings and find battery. Should show something similar with break down of what is using battery

You can get a battery stat app from the play store like Gsam battery monitor. May provide more details.
