Drifting cursor

The cursor on the pc is moving all over the place, seemingly of its own accord. I want a computer, not a ouija board. How do I make it hold still?

Is your device connected to your computer in some way, or is this strictly a pc issue?

Is your mouse wired or wireless? May need new batteries.
Are you in a boat in the middle of a storm?

This is strictly a landlubber problem. There's not even a mouse involved at the moment. I think it's called a trackpad. Whatever it is, it's probably somewhat clumsier than a mouse. The pc is resting on a table, which should lend stability. Would getting a mouse solve the problem?

I assume this "PC" is actually a laptop, because that's where trackpads are usually found. Sounds like the trackpad might be malfunctioning. Have you tried cleaning it? Getting a mouse would probably fix it, because plugging a mouse into a laptop usually overrides the built-in trackpad.

How would I clean it? I think it's internal. You are correct that it is a laptop.
