Root Droid 2.3.3 root question

chuskey

Lurker
I'm sure that this has been asked to death, so don't hesitate to point me to the relevant thread :)

I had a Droid 2 that I had rooted and had fission on there and all was right with the world. I had to have the phone replaced under warranty and the replacement is running 2.3.3.

So far I haven't had any luck getting it rooted. I've tried doroot v3, zroot 1.3.0, and gingerbreak v.1.3 (got a parsing error, so didn't get very far on that one).

Anyone have any suggestions? Also, what's a good custom gingerbread rom?

Thanks!

Doesn't work...in the list it says D2G. I tried it on my normal D2 with 2.3 and it says it was successful, but it's not rooted.

I've used it at least 10 times now on my regular D2. Do you have a Superuser icon in your app drawer?

Yea it is there, but Wireless Tether can't work, and neither does Titanium Backup, and my phone was rooted when I had Gingerbread installed. I made another thread on the problem that occurs for me.
