Looking to go from VZW to TMo. Wife purchased a Droid 2 Global about 4 months ago. Will unlocking it and purchasing the SIM from TMo be all I need to do or is there more?
"If" you can get the phone to register on an American GSM carrier (just getting it "unlocked" to work on AT&T was proving an issue when it first came out), the phone does not support T-Mobile's UMTS frequencies. At best it will only support "Edge" connections/speeds.
So in other words it's not worth it? She only spent $120 on contract and through work she can get a MyTouch Slide 4G for $40 (just found out today) so it's not worth even researching it anymore. Thanks!
