Droid 2 or Global?

Hello, as you can see the title explains pretty much all I have to ask.
Which phone is better? Should I go with more battery time on the Droid 2
or a faster phone with a 1.2 processor? They are both great phones and
needless to say I am fine with either but what do you guys think?

Do you ever plan on traveling to a place that would require the global capabilities? If the answer is yes, I think the choice is simple.
The next question would be do you have any interest in rooting/roming? There are more ROMs available for the regular D2.

As far as the speed you can always overclock the D2

Agreed. Unless your foresee international travel, the D2 is a smarter choice.

There are way more ROMs and other options for the D2 than the D2G, and the D2 can be overclocked just as fast as the D2G... The D2G's keyboard is supposed to be slightly different, but oh well. I have a D2G and I LOVE it... But a D2 would have done just as well. My battery life is excellent on my D2G, but I'm in the minority, and I use my phone a little differently from most people.

I have a D2G and my battery life was aweful till i got the extended battery, maybe i just had a bad standard battery.. i dunno...

I really like my phone now, im easily making it through the 18-24 hours period with pretty heavy use which is up to par for me..

I also didn't think they were still making the regular Droid 2 anymore. As for the slightly bigger processor in the D2G how much difference is that really going to make. I feel like when it comes to the slight difference in processor size i don't think you will notice much.

Is it possible to unlock the d2? I couldn't find anything about unlocking it only the d2g. I'm thinking about buying the d2 and unlocking it to put my virgin mobile account on it I really need some help please
