Droid 2 won't charge

Ok so my phone's been working fine all along for about a year now, and suddenly just stopped charging. A few days ago I was using my phone as normal, and the battery died. So I decided to put it on the charger and get some food. When I came back to check, my phone was blinking the Motorola sign, which usually comes up, stays for a few seconds, and goes to the battery level screen. Well I wanted to know if anyone else had a similar condition or knows what's going on here?

try a different charger. could need a charger or could the phone end.

a different charger may work if the current charger has been damaged in any way, over than that, i do not suspect the charger to be the issue here, if you look into the charging port of the d2 you will see the connector and the gold plates that the phone uses to charge, if one of them is missing or broke, that will be your culprit.
