Help Droid 4 screen doesn't come on

My wife dropped her Droid 4 in the toilet. Yeah I kind of chewed her out for it. To make matters worse, she thought she turned it off right after it happened but it never turned off. She put it in a rice bath while the phone was on.

Well the battery fried itself and would no longer charge up. So I chewed her out again lol. Went online and bought a new OEM battery which it just came today.

I installed it using a Torx T5 screwdriver and now the phone turns on, but nothing shows up on the display. I can push the screen and the phone vibrates so the touchscreen portion works.. just nothing comes on the screen.. it's blank.

I can reboot it and same thing happens.

Please tell me there's a mystery screen reboot function I'm missing. Or there's an easy way to replace the screen itself.

lcd is likely fried
did you try booting to 'Boot Mode selection menu'

power off (power & volume key for ten secs)
then hold both volume buttons + power, for 5-10 secs

or boot to AP fastboot mode
with power off, hold volume down & power

if you can see that menu, lcd is ok
if you can't, LCD is likely bad
