I just had my Droid 4 replaced with a new one because my old one wouldn't turn on and now I am having problems with the replacement. I have only had the replacement phone for 4 days and already it won't hold a charge. I plug it in and within 5 to 10 minutes, it says that the phone is fully charged and to unplug it to save battery life. After unplugging the phone, within 10 to 20 seconds, it will be back down to 5% and tells me I need to plug it in. I have been going through this all day and don't know if there is anything I can do about it. I have left the phone plugged in for an hour and it still does the same thing. It will not charge past 5% and I can't be without my phone for work purposes but also can't be sitting around with it plugged in all day.

A factory reset is probably the only remedy to this, just make sure any data that you want saved is backed up by GOOGLE/DROPBOX/etc....or otherwise (PC/MAC).

If this doesn't solve the problem,a trip to VZW is in order,or,go on-line w/MOTOROLA.

A trip to VZW is actually a great place to start,as they can assure that any data is backed-up prior to a Factory Data Reset.

If this doesn't do the trick, another handset replacement is in order, whether it be by VZW or directly from MOTOROLA,especially if it's still under the mfgs 1YR warranty.
