Hello guys,

I just got a Motorola droid Xt912, I love the phone but after 2-3 days of using it, the battery has started acting up really bad!

When on charging, the battery would go from 50%-100% in 10 mins... I take the phone off charging and the phone can go back to 50% within in 10 mins.

This is so terrible! I am frustrated, I do not want to change my phone.

These are the following things I tried unsuccessfully

1. Tried Wake lock doctor, closed everything as indicated
2. Tried to stop google services, motrolla services etc from running in the background
3. Took out my SD card coz some forums said it creates problems
4. Made a Factory reset
5. Calibrating the phone battery

Please can anyone help me solve this problem :(

If you have a bad battery, which happens sometimes, there's nothing you can do about it, but as Mike pointed out you can try several things first. From experience I can tell you to try charging it with the phone on and off, plugged into the wall and PC, and try different chargers and cables!! As I said before, if you got a "clunker" there's nothing you can really do to fix it, but I'd try all these things first just to be sure!

Thanks a MikeStony... Umm I have tried several charges in different locations. I really think it is a battery problem. Some people on forums pointed out that the problem persisted even when they changed the battery but I dunno...
