droid doesn't follow links from gmail account

hi there,

when clicking on a link in an email (gmail on droid), the droid doesn't follow the full link. for example, in a facebook email, the link will only go as far as my facebook homepage, and not to the actual conversation or post that the link is for.

any suggestions? thanks...

With Facebook, I'm pretty sure that the reason you're ending up on your homepage is because of the redirecting that Facebook does. The email has the URL for the full version, but it detects that you're on a mobile browser and redirects you to the mobile URL, but losing the info about where specifically you were trying to go. If you copy the URL and then paste it into the address bar, you still get redirected to your mobile home page instead of going where it's supposed to go.

yeah, i tried the copy/paste routine, too. so there's no way around it? it has to happen on facebook's or other website's ends?

Tapping on links in NYTimes.com daily headlines email takes me directly to associated article.
