Droid incredible 2 wont turn on

My Droid incredible 2 screen froze today and then powered off by itself. I thought maybe it froze and drained the battery so I plugged it in to the charger. When its on the charger a solid orange light stays on but wont power on. It has been charging for an hour now and it wont power up at all and the light has not changed.. still a solid orange.

It sounds like it was completely discharged and may trickle charge for a few hours before there is enough power to operate the phone. Patience may be key here.
