Droid Incredible camcorder freezes and reboots phone

Every time I use camcorder on Droid Incredible, the app freezes and reboots the phone... Camera works fine tho. When I first got the phone (July), i was running 2.1. Then verizon pushed 2.2 but my phone would not update no matter what I did. I rooted and updated the Virtuous' previous ROM. Camcorder worked fine until last month. I just update to Virtuous 3.1 hoping the kernel update would fix it... no luck yet.

Has anyone seen this issue before?
 
Camera/Camcorder drivers are built into the radio. Make sure you're on an upgraded radio (not included with ROMS, so if you manually updated your ROM, you need to manually update the radio too).

The other thing that causes this issue are various "audio" patches to get better sound. They fix the streaming sound issues, but break the sound recording feature of the camcorder, causing instant lockups or reboots when you start recording. This one took me many hours of frustration to figure out months ago... If you've installed any "audio fixes" this can definitely be the problem.

The only audio fix I've trusted (and works great) is Adrynalyne's compile of the source released by google. You can find both, the official (as well as unreleased) radio files, and the audio patch on his site:
