droid it burnt and wont turn on

Last night i was on my phone and it was working fine, then about 5 minutes later i went to check the time and it would no turn on.

it got REALLY hot and smell like it was burning.

now when i plug it in it slowly gets really hot again and wont turn on

You've clearly got a serious hardware problem. The question is, is it the phone, battery or charger (and has anything else been damaged)?

If the phone was not plugged in when the problem started, it's either the phone or the battery.

It's hard to say more really. There's clearly something very badly wrong. If it's the battery, and no other damage has been done, then replacing the battery would fix it. But it might be a waste of money, because it could well be the phone, and if so this sounds like an expensive repair.

Whatever you do, be careful. A damaged battery is a serious fire risk.

If you try a new battery, keep a watch on it when you put it on charge. Don't let it get very hot, because that is bad for batteries.
