Help Droid maxx cracked screen

My Droid maxx screen is cracked and phone got wet. The phone does turn on but can not see anything. Before i call insurance company and never see the phone again is there a way to retrieve photos and videos from it using a mac computer?? Please help

Plug it it via USB and if it doesn't pop up, then try taking it to a repair store to see if they can help.
