Help droid maxx group message not working right?????

Hi guys so every now and then when I'm texting a group message (useually like 8 people) on my droid maxx it will start a new group message on its own when I send a text to the original with one random less person. No ryme or reason as to who it kicks out but its really annoying. Need help!!
