I have an old droid LG Optimus V and wanted to run somethings by you and get opinions as I am not much of a smart phone user.
(I have a dumb phone as of now because I'm not paying the extra $40 bucks a month to look at twitter during class.)
So what I want to do is make the Optimus a Mp3 player, but when I got a 32gb Micro SD card my phone plays music for maybe five minutes .. maybe 3 hrs and then skips and the SD card becomes "damaged" and wont play. I have to take the card out and put it in several times before it works again. The phone also runs very slow and wont change songs smoothly.
Is there any way to run a different OS that just makes the phone a wifi/android apps/ music player? Like a tablet, that way the preloaded apps and call/txt software that i cannot use anyhow does not run? Or any way to block apps/call&text software from booting up on the phone like you can with a computer through msconfig?
