Android Question

Prolog: I had a Droid X (DX) for ~3 years. SD card root name: sdcard1. Used Documents To Go (DTG) app for all documents, stored on SD card (Local Files/External Card /mnt/external1). Upgraded 7/29/13 to Droid Razr MAXX HD (DRHD) with Jelly Bean OS. Geeks at Best Buy took the SD card from DX and mounted in DRHD. Simple! Not really. DRHD's SD card root name: sdcard0. So now when I open DTG, select Local Files, External Card won't open because the name is wrong. I feel like the problem is either the SD card has the wrong root name or the phone is looking for the wrong root name. any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to Android Forums!

Before trying this I suggest you back up the data on your card to your PC.

If you can, I would try putting the SD card into your PC via a card reader and then changing the name to sdcard0.

If you can't do that, back up all of your data from the SD card to your PC. Put the card back into your phone and format it. Then restore all of your data from your PC.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the quick response. I believe your right on with this solution. As long as I can rename the card with Windows explorer or download a root explorer, I'll fix it. I didn't know if there was a way to fix on the phone.
thanks again!
