Hold power and both volume buttons down until the flash, release and then press them all instantly again... release after a few seconds and you should be in fastboot mode. Use the factory cord and plug into your computer and see what RSD says is plugged into the computer.

Thanks for reply.
Nothing happens , screen does not flash !

A factory cable is a special cable than a data cable that came with the phone. It bypasses much stuff, supplies power, and allows you to fast boot a totally dead phone, if it is recoverable. It would allow you to use RSD to flash the SBF file. That usually only flashes a system image onto the phone, not touching the data or the onboard memory location. Are you sure the all three buttons hold down for 5 to 7 seconds doesn't produce a quick flash on the screen?

Think this is the same issue I had on my phone once. Happened utterly spontaneously. I ended up tapping my insurance for a replacement. To their credit I placed the claim around 6pm on Friday night and received my replacement early Saturday. And while I know getting a refurb can be a mixed experience, mine had no visible damage and has worked fine ever since.

I did do some (not a lot) looking for a factory cable, but couldn't readily find one online, and the Verizon Support person I talked to in the store didn't seem to want to help me out on that one.

Thanks everyone .
Will try to get factory cable , that's last chance .

Yeah, Verizon won't say anything about a factory cable for you. You'd have better luck getting any liquid from a regular stone. There's a bunch of us sporadically around the states that have a factory cord. Where are you roughly?

Whoops, wrong coast for me. Don't feel too snubbed if no one sends/loans you a cord, either. These things are like rare gold to us.

my mororola razor max wont turn on and it died but when i plug it in a white light turns on. ive tried the power buton and volume button to reset it and nothing happends what do i do to fix it?

I had the same issue. Battery died with somewhere around 60% of the battery left. Verizon rep at the store told me I let the battery die (Which I knew was not true), but they did something with it in the back and were able to turn it back on. Interestingly enough, it retained the memory in the battery stats. See the picture below.

Would love it if someone could explain this. I think it is a bad battery actually. Going back tomorrow to show them the battery stats and see what they can do for me.

I have a Razr MAXX that when one day I was putting it in the Navigation Dock, the screen flashed when I slid the plug into it. Now it will not boot up. It just gets to the Droid Eye and sits. I have tried many things and I am wondering if the Factory Cord is the answer or not. Also, I have done the Power, Volume Up/Down to bring up the menu, but once you scroll down to the different options, I can't seem to select anything. Thought the Power Button might be the select button, but no luck. I have to let the phone die because it won't shut down. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I love this phone for my GPS as I have upgraded to the S5.

This worked for me. Thank you. I have a Droid Razr M.
