Droid "Shadow" will use a claimed ARM Cortex A8

Motorola Shadow glimpsed in the wild: 4.1-inch screen, 8MP camera, OMAP3630 processor? -- Engadget

Does this mean that it is overclocked to 720mhz? I'm not sure what the standard clockspeed of the processor is and if it relates in anyway to the Droid's processing/overclocking capabilities.

Ours is a TI OMAP3430, that's a 3630. It's probably not overclocked. The ARM A8 ranges from 600MHz to 1000MHz

HDMI on it, neat. Looks like it will be nice competition against the EVO 4G

But, I want to see a phone with an ARM A9 +MP!!!!!

I have heard that the OMAP3630 will come clocked stock at 1Ghz... It is suppose to be the EVO 4G competition and I wouldn't be surprised if it is Verizon's first LTE phone...

Found this bit of info:

Texas Instruments OMAP - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"The OMAP36x is a 45nm version of the 65nm OMAP34x with higher clock speed."

So the dye is smaller but the architecture is the same?

this is supposed to lead to less power consumption which means longer battery!

I kinda figured that you would have to with a bigger screen. I was just wondering how much the 34 stacked up to the 36 in terms of overall performance. For instance, if I have both chips overclocked at 1Ghz, would there be a difference in processing power/speed?
