Droid Tablet - Movie player help

Can anyone help??

I have an Android Tablet (The Dell Streak) which is a brilliant Tab in itself.......But I have one problem, I have loaded some episodes of a tv show which I have burnt from DVD, I have copied the episodes onto my SD card, which clearly show up when the card is in my PC, but when The card is in the Tab, the episodes are no where to be found??

I am using DIVX player to attempt to play the episodes, which is what I have been recommended to use previously.

The episodes play fine on my PC and I have watched films on the tab using this method plenty of times before, so I am unsure as to why it wont work this time

Is anyone able to help me out with this issue??

Thanks you

Hey Superkitch, as far as I know, I don't think there is any android device which plays the DVD file format. So if what you are saying is that you copied the files directly from a DVD, what file format were they in. If it is the DVD format, you will need to convert the files first to a file format that is compatible with android such as .avi, .divx, .mp4 or mpeg4, etc. Your pc probably played the files because you have the correct codecs installed and it plays dvds as long as it has a dvd drive with the proper software installed. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that. Ive double checked, and I have definitely converted the episodes to DVRX....... does anyone know a programme that will convert them to AVI, to see if this will help?

Thanks
