Help Droid Turbo 2 Not Ringing

I purchased a Droid Turbo 2 in March 2016. I have not added a single APP. People call me constantly on my other cell phone and say they called the Turbo 2 and I did not answer. The phone rang a few days, then I selected the option to lock the phone with the power/sleep button. Never rang again until I deselected that option. Yesterday I noticed my Bluetooth was on, I have never used Bluetooth with that phone so it came on by itself or I accidently turned it on..... I turned Bluetooth off Once again phone never rang again until I turned the Bluetooth back on.....I won't mind the phone not ringing if the calls would show up as missed but they don't show up as missed until I get the Turbo ringing again. I always keep a military grade flip phone in my pocket, they have always worked, won't leave home without that phone. I had expected the Turbo 2 to work as well as my other devices....itouch, ipad, Kindle Fire HD etc.....I have been really disappointed. I posted because people asked if the problem had been fixed by an update....

Thom....Thanks for asking. I have checked all the settings several times. Yesterday Verizon chat online tried the Software repair tool and that did not work. They suggested a factory reset and I did that , don't know if that will help, but my phone rings without Bluetooth being turned on now (this morning it rings but don't know how long that will last)....Before I got this Turbo 2 I carried around a flip phone, a Casio Brigade to text, and my itouch gen 7 or ipad gen 2 for emails. Sometimes the difference between life and death is a phone call. I remember many years ago Apple did an update on my itouch Gen 2 ...that update made the battery drain REALLY fast.....Apple almost immediately did another update that corrected the problem. I thought Motorola would do the same and I didn't contact Verizon about issue until yesterday. Verizon did say there had been a lot of issues with Turbo 2. I have another Droid on my Verizon account a Maxx I think, and there have been no problems with that phone, or at least the family member who has the phone hasn't complained to me and he would, it's his only phone. Some younger people assume older people just aren't good with tech, but the first computer I used was so big it had it's own room at a University ..... I enjoy technology but a reliable phone is the most important thing to me.....Thanks Again...

The Do not disturb setting are off.....(they have never been on) ...... phone rings right NOW since the factory reset yesterday afternoon... .I was surprised when I found out the Droid Turbo had the same problem and the Turbo 2 was released without Motorala correcting the problem. I've had a Verizon account for almost 2 decades and never had a problem before, the Verizon rep told me they had had a lot of issues with this phone. The design your own phone is a cute idea ( I got the pebbled leather with my name engraved ) but not practical with a phone that has issues going back to the first generation Turbo. I will wait and see what happens, as I said, I posted because people were asking if the problem had been fixed and the answer is NO.... I wish I had known about this issue and I would have bought another phone.

I am wondering if the Do Not Disturb was set partially activated previously and is now turned off due to the Factory Data Reset.

Moto Maker in my opinion is a great idea that was poorly implemented. The support provided to it was abysmal. The best way I found to get a problem resolved was to go to the Motorola Users Forum. There are some Motorola people there who really care.

.... Thom

The Do not disturb was never set.....I received the phone mid March....set the phone up without an email account and entered some contacts, Phone worked ....I decided to go to Settings --Security--and select the option to lock phone with power/sleep button. I use that on my ipad and Kindle Fire HD. Phone NEVER rang again...missed calls did not show up in notifications....people started calling my flip phone and stopping by looking for me. I deselected the option to use power/sleep button to lock phone.....phone started to work again . I thought I'd be getting a patch from Motorola correcting the issue because I am used to Apple and Amazon doing things like that....I'm used to companies correcting issues without having to complain. I did not add any APPs.... didn't do anything with that phone but Text and make a few calls. I am a retired Pharmacist (age 63) and never depended on a cell phone for work....Always used company provided equipment. I am not "addicted" to a phone like many people. I was reading thru phone info one day .....reading every word of online Verizon Guide for Droid Turbo 2 .....things bug me till I get them solved and the power/sleep button lock mystery bugged me.....and one thing guide said under battery was turn off Bluetooth so I looked and Bluetooth was on.....don't know how that happened....I turned off Bluetooth and once again people started calling me saying I didn't answer the Droid. I turned the Bluetooth back on and phone started ringing again. I got the Droid Turbo 2 because of the shatterproof screen....I didn't get an iphone because I am using itunes less and Amazon more as a content provider. I have used Rhapsody for a streaming music service for years and don't plan on trying the new Apple Music. When Amazon launched Amazon Music they added EVERY CD I had ever purchased from them to Amazon Music and notified me they had done that.... Even though this is my first smartphone I have used similar devices forever.....this smartphone should have been so simple ....instead it fails at it's primary purpose....phone calls.....I have four cell phones on my Verizon Acct and have had the Account for almost 2 decades... I will work with them. Like the Verizon support person told me yesterday....they have had a lot of issues with this phone. .......Have you read the posts about Droid Turbo ( 1st gen) not ringing ? The very first post describes my phone ....same behavior. That poster had a difficult time getting people to comprehend what he was saying....phone doesn't ring sometimes and no notifications show up as missed calls during the time phone isn't ringing.

My phone is still working correctly ...

When I told the Verizon rep that the ONLY thing I had installed on my phone was ONE operating system update they had sent me she said the factory reset would have the latest updates and maybe phone would work now....

Phone is fixed.....after reading all day yesterday I now believe my phone not ringing was related to the Operating System Update.....not to the problem that the Droid Turbo ist generations have/had. I also feel very lucky my phone didn't stop charging.... Never used a factory reset before but have used restore in Windows computers when an update messed something up.....(with Apple you can just wait and know they will send you an update fixing any issue an update created).....
