Droid turbo 2 won't charge

Phone won't start except when on charger and through the bootloader. When it finally turns on, the charger sign is on in the corner but it won't charge above 0%. If I unplug the phone it immediately dies. It was working fine just a few days ago. Any ideas?

Sounds like battery could be shot and needs replacing. Moto Droid Turbo 2 is what 4 years old now?

That's what I thought it might be but it was new out of the box in May 2017. And it was holding a charge fine as of just a little while ago. It just doesn't seem like the battery would degrade that quickly
