Droid vs Dragon/Passion - worth the wait

I'm thinking about waiting until Black Friday to check out the new HTC (or even waiting until December) Thoughts of new HTC vs Droid?

There isn't anything to compare. You've got a known phone with public reviews versus a leaked phone with rumored specs/features. We don't even know if it WILL or WON'T launch.

If you're a Verizon customers, I don't think you'll be disappointed in the Droid if you get it now, regardless of what comes out in the next couple months. Nothing will be SO much better that it makes you mad. If you're insistent on touchscreen only, besides the thinness of the Droid, I guess I could see why it might be worth waiting... but I'm not sure it will matter much.

To each their own, though. If its android, chances are it will be awesome regardless.

The Passion/Dragon is still just a rumor. Some say the leaked photos are of a GSM phone, so who knows. There have been no leaks of the Passion passing FCC approval or showing up in Verizon databases like the Droid and Droid Eris did last month so it may be a while for a release if it even exists.

The Droid is a great phone. Android 2.0, ARM Cortex-A8 CPU, slide out keyboard, BIG BEAUTIFUL screen, the list goes on and on. All that being said, I myself am waiting on the HTC Passion.

Why? Because of what it MIGHT have. Android 2.0, Snapdragon CPU, and the HTC Sence UI (beautiful IMHO). That's it. That's the combination of features that I am WAITING for.

I've been using the LG Dare for a year and a half so I don't need a 'real' keyboard. I love the HTC Sence UI but the Droid Eris has the same CPU as the other 'Hero's" and if an Android 2.0 upgrade does happen, I don't think the 528Mhz CPU would cut it.

So here I sit, waiting, passionately posting about it, in hopes that it will someday soon come to light.
Am I waiting on a Unicorn, maybe. But I wait, hoping to ride that Unicorn someday.
