DroidPlayer XMBC the Audio Input Device button is greyed out

Hi All

I'm new to the forum so hope I've posted in the right section.

I have a dualcore Droidplayer connected via an HDMI cable to my TV set. Although a complete novice I recently reset the device due to a problem and updated to Kodi XBMC 13.2. I also managed to put on the necessary apps and links to enable me to watch movies, however when I accessed a movie there was no sound, I tried another and the same thing happened. I looked on various websites for help but only got partial information, I know I have to go into XBMC - System - System - Audio Output - Audio Output Device, in order to change the device to HDMI output, however the Audio Output Device button is greyed out (inaccessible). Does anyone know how I can make this button accessible to enable me to change the output device, is there a work around or is there another access route to it.

Regards

Pozzy

Hi all

Ok guess none of you experts out there know how to fix this issue and it is an issue. Anyway I took the Droidplayer to someone who is pretty good with these things and he found that the Droidplayer had for some reason or another stopped playing sound through the HDMI but would still play sound through an external sound system, at least its working again. He thinks there might be a clash between the software or firmware whichever you techies call it, between Kodi and Droid. Funny thing is though, when I got back home I tried one more time with the HDMI and the sound worked great, however when I came out of Kodi and turned the box off, then back on again, it stopped working, no sound again, very strange behaviour. Well hopefully someone will find a fix for this problem.

Hi I have a similar problem updated my box from XBMC to KODI and it will not play sound through my external soundbar speakers but will play through TV speakers. It worked perfectly with XBMC and Gotham. If I switch soundbar off and back on it will work for a minute then go silent or it will work for 30 secs and go off for 5secs and back on for 30 secs etc. Baffling to say the least. Reid various settings in audio menu but still not working properly. Just have to watch with tinny TV sound until someone comes up with a solution :-/
