Help Dropped my phone in my drink

So I was driving around and set my phone down on my center console, had to break suddenly and *sploosh* in it went into my glass of sweet tea. I fished it out, took out the battery and wiped it clean (or so I thought). Powered it on, and everything works fine except my buttons at the bottom (home, back, search).

How do I save my phone so I don't have to replace it? My friend suggested dunking it in water and then letting it air dry. My sister said put it in a bag of rice, but I fear the drink is already dried up on the inside of my phone. Any suggestions?

Don't drop it in normal water (normal water also makes it short sirquit)
use destilled water (doesn't guide current) to make it clean.

go to a whop which fixes phones. i had that problem with the phone before my SGS and brought it to the shop of my provider. they said it's not possible to fix it and they said 30 euro's kosts of investigation.. :-(
a week later i brought it to a lokal phone repair shop. they fixed everyting for only 10 euro's.
this only possible when you have such a shop in the neibourhood but it's worth the shot.

the rice and the air dry method is only usefull directly after the accident. so in your case it isn't usefull anymore.

Get and new phone and quit drinking and driving with a cell phone. Use Bluetooth if necessary and keep phone at least 3ft from and liquid strapped in securely.
