Help Dropped Razr in water now the battery symbol has a ? in it

Our 'house' phone was droppeed in water and now when plugged into the wall charger I get a ? symbol inside the battery symbol.

Could the water have corrupted the charging terminals?
Or shorted out the terminals/battery?

This usually means that the phone isn't making good contact with the battery. Check to make sure that the battery contacts are clean, and that the battery is seated properly.

I'll have to get a few torx bits and disassemble the back cover.

Remove the battery, shake out any water you can from the phone and put it in rice for a few days [2 or more].
Try it and see. You may get lucky!
