Help Dropped Tablet

Lurker
I have a Visual Land Prestige 10 Android Tablet. It has worked fine until
I accidentally dropped it today. When I brought it, it had a screen protector on it that I thought was just on it for shipping. So, I took it off and was going to buy a real screen protector but never got around to it. It is only one month old. I brought a case with a usb keyboard and keep it in that. But, it doesn't have much protection from the one end to keep the tablet in the case while carrying it. I picked it up from the table and it slid out of the case and dropped on a laminate floor and the screen shattered mostly in the bottom right hand corner and near the center too. I am amazed that it actually works. The only thing is the stuff in the status bar doesn't work in landscape, so I turn it to portrait and it works. The charger in it still works and the games and internet still work. Has this happened to anyone out there? I am waiting to hear from Visual-Land (you can only email them) to see what they say about it. Thanks to anyone that can help me.

Hi JeanLP and welcome to Android Forums!

Wow, a dropped Tablet :(

I'm not sure what the manufacturer can do: I hope you have a warranty that covers accidental damage. If not, I imagine that a computer shop advertising smartphone repair might possibly get a new touchscreen for you.

It's great to have you here :)
