I have a lava xolo q1000 mobile with mx player installed. The1080p videos played do not have sound due to dts audio. Can you suggest the proper codec for sound enabling?

MX is one of the best on the market. I'm surprised that you're not getting sound when using it. Try using the free version of Joe VLC player on Google Play. I have never had a video yet that it wouldn't play. It even supports most subtitles.
If it doesn't work please make a new post with the apps that you've tried and haven't worked.
