How in the world do you assign custom ringtones to your X10?

I've looked and looked but only certain apps allow "use MP3 file" as a choice....the basic phone doesn't seem to allow that.

If you want to be a bit more geeky, hook your phone up to the pc and mount the sd card. Go into it and if there is not a folder called "Media" add one in the same way you would to you pc's desk top by right clicking.

Then go into that folder and add 4 more folders:

Audio
Music
Video

Then what ever you add to the audio folder will be picked up by the phone when choosing notification sounds and ring tones.

You can go into the phone book click on a contact and then edit and then assign a custom ring tone for each person or go settings-sound & display-phone ringtone and all the tones you added to the audio file will be there.

Remember think of the phone as a mini pc with a phone app :D

EDIT: The other folders can be used to place all other music and video media on the phone and the phone can find them with less hunting.
