Help Duplicate contacts

Hi,

I downloaded the Orange Contacts Backup app and whilst doing so, I selected Import Contacts/Sim Contacts and now I have duplicate Phone Contacts. Is there anyway I can delete the Phone Contacts and just have the contacts synced to my googlemail account?

Short of manually deleting them, no. However you can filter the contacts so that you do not see all of the duplicates which is a lot easier and less time consuming:

Main Menu > Contacts > Tap the icon in the top right that is a symbol of three people > Under contacts to display select the ones you wish to view.

If you are running older software the steps will be different:

Main Menu > Contacts > Menu Key > More > Filter > Under contacts to display select the ones you wish to view.

If you have to do it manually like i had to i found this program to be very helpful, it lets you see your phone book on your computer and you can edit it that way. its called my phone explorer you need to download the program for you PC and the app from the market.
