Hi there.......I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Precedent phone and I'm wondering whether or not it's possible to download a book to this phone? I hope I'm not showing my technical ineptitude! Yikes!

Depending on your phone, you may already have Google books installed, books can be purchased through the market. There are a ton of ereader apps on the market, many with easy access to public domain (free) repositories. You can also save or download any epub format book (other formats depend on the ereader) to your sd card and read them through a ereader app. Another easy albeit expensive route is to install the Amazon Kindle or B&N Nook apps from the market which have access to those retailers extensive library's.

There are other sites that sell books in many formats. Booksamillion is one, and there are others. Most readers do EPUB files quite well.
If you are into free - Project Gutenberg, Feedbooks, Manybooks, have public domain, and Creative Commons licensing. New authors will publish a book as Creative Commons to get a following.
