To log in my school's email you have to go to google.scasd.org which means it does use Gmail however it creates some problems with getting on my phone.

When you type in google.scasd.org/mail it forwards you to http://mail.google.com/a/scasd.org/ (on a computer web browser, not the phone) so it's a strange Gmail thing.

The Gmail app won't work with it. (I don't think, either way I have it hooked to my personal email.) But I've got the Email app using it for a while.

It worked until I (stupidly) deleted it because it was being slow and I wanted to try re-installing it. But now I can't get it to work anymore.

I tried using how Gmail says to but to no avail.
When I took it to Verizon I got someone different (one of them set it up for me the first time) who just blamed me and basically ignored me.

Please help!
 
Try K9 from the market. I've had problems with the Stock email app.

As far as using the browser, try Dolphin HD from the market and set User Agent to "Desktop". If that doesn't work, another browser to try is Opera Mini.
 
I was just thinking about it and I have my school's gmail (google apps) set to forward all incoming email to my regular gmail account. I really hate having 50 different email accounts.

If K9 doesn't work for you (I also suggest trying this app), then maybe think about forwarding to a different email account.
