The official 2.1 update for the Cliq was made available recently and I installed it. I receive most of my e-mail through Yahoo and have its clients installed on the phone.
After the update, I discover that there is a ping when each message is received. Much of this e-mail is spam, so it is annoying to receive such notifications at all hours of the day. I have not been able to find a setting on 2.1 that enables control over notification sounds, as there was on 1.5, and would like to turn off these notifications or at least reduce their volume.
Since 2.1 was long awaited on the Cliq, I wouldn't be surprised if others have had a similar experience. Any help in resolving it would be appreciated.
