Help E-Mail show up as HTML code

Why do some of my e-mail messages come across as pure HTML code, when most others (with HTML) display fine?

Could be something to do with your email app? What are you using, who is your email provider, what device have you got, etc.? So we can be more specific with a possible solution.

I'm using the "standard android" e-mail app on a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on Verizon.
