Help "E" not LTE is by the signal strength. Meaning ?

AppleUser

Not in the best signal area here and this AM noted an "E" near the signal bars, then later the "E" disappeared and there was no letter and no LTE.

Where may a decoder and explanations be found for any and all notations which relate to transmissions, protocols, etc. ?

You are indeed in a poor signal area if you either have no signal or, "E", which is Edge and is 2G technology as explained in this article...

What is - the difference between LTE (4G), HSPA+, HSDPA, 3G, Edge and GPRS

Contact your carrier and check that there are no repairs or work being carried out on your local cell towers. Also, check with them that you have the correct APN settings for your carrier.

I had that on my phone, but it was one of the things that disappeared last night when my phone zeroed itself out... Thanks for bring it back to light, and it got reinstalled immediately.

The phone which has the problem is not an Android, but LG450.

Do you mean AppleUser, that, for whatever reason, you chose to post on Android Forums section for the Samsung Galaxy S5, 4G/LTE phone, regarding the LG450 which is not even an Android phone and only has GSM/HSPA and no 4G/LTE and didn't think it was a good idea to mention it until now?
