Earphone for hearing impaired

I am pretty much deaf in one ear, but I like to listen to music.

Some songs are highly stereoscopic (having certain sounds in only the left or right channel) and that makes those songs for me pretty boring.

I would love an app or widget that somehow mixes the sounds to make a mono output to both channels.
Possible?

I am the same, I am hard of hearing so I can hear more in one ear than the other and therefore stereo output makes it harder for me to listen to music. I would be eternally grateful if somebody could tell me how I could listen to mono music on my HTC Desire.

I would be willing to pay for an app if there is one available.
