Earphone notification problem

We know that normally when we connect an earphone on phone then we see an icon (headphone icon) on notification bar. But in my Samsung galaxy j7 pro I am unable to see that icon in notification bar. Please help me what can I do now. In this case I reset my phone. But the problem still arising.

Do the headphones work?

What if you use a different pair of headphones? If it's just one pair then there may be a connection problem inside the headphones. If it's all headphones then it's likely to be a problem with the socket. See whether there is anything inside the socket (a bit of fluff or something) that might block the connection. If so be careful getting it out - you don't want to damage the contacts in the process.
